The Brass Monkey Club are a group of Tiger Moth flying
enthusiasts based in a Camden near Sydney Australia. They
are lovers of flying during the winter months in Oz between
June and September. Surprisingly to a lot of folk around
the world the temperature in Sydney gets pretty cold in
the winter. Early morning flying in an open cockpit plane
at 5000ft can freeze your "naughty bits" with
temps from zero to minus 10 degrees C. So it was for this
reason The Brass Monkey Club was formed back in June 2004
to promote their crazy cause.

These mad guys grabbed some British Brass monkeys and
took to the air, resulting in one of the most comprehensive
"wind testing" trials for our pants. Click here
to see a 60 second video clip of their hilarious pantastic
flight over Auz. (look carefully for pants attached on
the wings, in front of the cockpit and genuine brass monkey
stickers everywhere - even their goggles. Go on take a
quick look. The 20 minute original video is just so fab
we had to award these guys with every Brass monkey prize
going. Below we have added a few stills, but you have
to see the video to understand how mad they really are
.

In addition to the video and pics the lovely folks at
The Aussie Brass Monkey Club also wrote a little poem
for all of you Monkey fans to share. The mad men in particular
who we all thank and praise for their wonderful efforts
are Steve Runnalls, Niall Higgins and all of the Brass
Monkey Club members.

Whilst searching for a link
My heart began to sink
The Net seemed a little lacking
Of web sites with some backing
From monkeys with like mind
They are truly hard to find
Then I came across "You Crew"
With the same brass monkey view
Oh what a great delight
To a monkey who loves flight
To find some great suppliers
Of undies for us flyers
At the end of our winter season
We monkeys have good reason
For rewarding a lucky member
Who flew June to September
So now we can be funky
And present our chosen monkey
A prize of great aplomb
To adorn their flying bum
So for the person who braves the cold without a single
care
A matching set of "Brass Monkeys" camouflage
underwear
So next time they are flying, up in the wild blue yonder
It will give them time to mull, to contemplate and ponder
On whose pants the seat of which, they fly
"Brass Monkeys" is the answer for the girl or
guy
They wear them with pride in drought, wind rain and thunder
The best damn undies flying, above the land down under!!!
